Bellefonte bats come out firing on all cylinders; tops Lady Cats

The Bellefonte softball team continues to shine as it gets closer to making a strong playoff run

Thursday, the Red Raiders sizzled at the plate while pitcher Lexi Rogers shut down the Bearcats offense. She allowed only two hits en route to the 13-3 victory.

Rogers (3IP, 0H, 0R, 7K, 0BB), went three innings before being replaced by Emily Pugh (2IP, 2H, 3R, 3ER, 0K, 0BB), notching the victory.

Final

Bellefonte exploded with a 4-run first inning. They continued the offensive domination in the second, posting another five runs.

Still keeping the Bearcats off the board after three, the Lady Raiders once again added three more, upping their lead to 12-0.

From there the Red Raider defense took over and allowed just a 3-run seventh before taking home the 10-run 5-inning victory.

The Lady Raiders finished with 10 hits.

Top Hitters for Bellefonte  on the night were Addy Manning (1-for-3, 2R), Hanna Lauck (1-for-3, 3R, 1RBI, 2B), Lexi Rogers (4-for-4 3R, 7RBI, 2 2B, 2 HR), Sara DeHaas (1-for-2, 2R, 2RBI, 2B), Emily Pugh (1-for-2 1R), Lissi Przybys (2-for-3, 2RBI).

Bellefonte is back at home Friday as it hosts Central Mountain.
