T&J’s 3 Krentzmans 2
It was what championship games should be. Close, low scoring, and dominated by pitching on both teams. Krentzmans jumped out to a 2-0 lead halfway through the game, thanks to a few walks and two errors. Starting pitchers for each team matched each other inning for inning for the first two. Ryan Hine for T&J and Jayden Smith for Krentzmans. The game remained 2-0 until the bottom of the 6th for T&J. Down to their last 2 outs, they finally got the offense going. Souders walked, Knode singled, Hine walked, King doubled plating Souders and Knode. With one out and runners on second and third, the stage was set for Reese Christine. With the game tied and a 2-2 count, Christine drove the next pitch to left center off of the fence for the game winner scoring Hine. The combined pitching of Smith, X.Smith, Plank, and Moon kept the bats quiet for T&J until the bottom of the sixth. T&J pitchers Hine, Knode, and Souders held their opponents to one hit. John Paul Pannizzo picked up the lone hit for Krentzmans.
