East Juniata Girls continue to roll

Another day and another convincing win for the East Juniata girls soccer team.

It’s been quite a hot start for the Lady Tigers so far this season as they added another seven goals Thursday in a 7-0 blanking of Danville.

“Overall a good game,  still have things to clean up. Passes and traps can always be improved,” said East Juniata Coach Valeria Dressler. “We are getting closer to where we want to be everyday.”

Thea Neimond led all scorers posting a hat trick.

Teammate Kierstyn Fogle chipped in two.

Fogle led off the scoring as she was assisted by Neimond at 13:25.

Fogle hit the second goal for the Tigers as well, scoring on an unassisted goal at 22:33.

Madison McDonald posted her lone goal on an unassisted blast of her own at 43:02.

Neimond got into the scoring action assisted by Clarye Guyer at 44:26.

Less than a minute later,  Neimond thanks to an assist by Fogle,  put her team up by five at 45:08.

Another quick goal by Neimond gave her the hat trick on an unassisted goal at 47:03.

Macey Buskey rounded out the scoring as she hit an goal thanks to an assist by Marissa Coudriet at 88:53.

The Tigers posted 14 shots on goal and collected four corner kicks.

East Juniata keeper Brianna Henry-goalie had two saves.

The Tigers improve to an overall record of 2-0-0 and a Tri-Valley League record of 1-0.

 Next game- Saturday 9-7-19with Bloomsburg.
