East Juniata Girls soccer tops Juniata, 10-0

In a prime time Friday night contest, the East Juniata girls soccer team went up against its cross county rival Juniata.

The night belonged to the Tigers as they remained unbeaten and untied on the year, winning 10-0 over the Indians.

“I thought it was our best game of the year for the girls. The attitude, the movement, the finishes, it was all there tonight,” said East Juniata Coach Valeria Dressler.

Teammates Thea Neimond and Kierstyn Fogle finished the game both scoring hat tricks.

Leah Sankey got the scoring started on a goal as she was assisted by Kierstyn Fogle at 4:06.

Neimond got her first goal as she was assisted by Kierstyn Fogle at 15:34.

Neimond, still in the first, notched goal number two on an unassisted goal at 28:23.

Kierstyn Fogle took care of the next three goals as she picked up an unassisted goal at 37:52, a goal with an assist by Thea Neimond- 40:14 and lastly another unassisted goal at 42:30.

Amara Brubaker made it 7-0 on an unassisted goal of her own at 42:51.

Neimond notched her hat trick on an unassisted goal coming at 57:22.

Paris Feltman picked up an unassisted at 65:45 to put the game at 9-0.

Madison McDonald rounded out the scoring as she was assisted by Hailey Wileman at 72:10.

East Juniata led in the shots on goal department 29-5 and corners 2-0.

East Juniata Keeper Brianna Henry snagged five saves while Juniata saved 19.

East Juniata’s overall record is 11-0-0 while its posts a 7-0 TVL record.

 Next game- Saturday, September 29,against Upper Dauphin.
