East Juniata out muscles Susquenita

It was a great way to start the week for the East Juniata boys soccer team as they muscled out a 2-1 win over Susquenita Monday.

EJ goals  came from by Cade Brubaker as he was assisted by Jayden Martin in the first half.

               In the second half, Jake Brackbill thanks to an assist by Aden Fronk put the Tigers ahead 2-0.

Susquenita’s lone goal was by Theron Marsh was assisted by Nathan Walak.

“Conditions were less than ideal with wind and rain during parts of the game.  With that in mind, some parts of the game I felt we

kept the soccer ball well and developed good scoring chances,” said East Juniata coach Cory Fronk. “We probably would like to get another try at some of the chances we had, because they 

were excellent opportunities that didn’t work out.  Still trying to work at keeping a blank sheet on goals against us, so we have some progress yet to make in

that area.”

East Juniata goalie Andrew Hunter   had three saves.
