EJ girls rally to pick up comeback win over Upper Dauphin

The East Juniata girls used a strong defensive effort to hold onto a very close 36-34 win over Tri-Valley League foe Upper Dauphin.

Leading the way offensively for the Lady Tigers was Clayre Guyer who posted a 12-point effort and the only Tiger that finished in double-digits.

Upper Dauphin got 12 from Olivia Halterman and 11 points from Taylor Conrad.

In a very low scoring first quarter, the Tigers found themselves trailing by just one loan point after one, 8-7.

Sparking the offense for Upper Dauphin was Conrad with six while Guyer led the Tigers with four.

Upper Dauphin extended its lead to 19-14 as it was able to post an 11-7 advantage to go into the intermission.

Both teams battled back and forth and neither gained any ground as both posted seven points each in the third.

East Juniata made its move in the final stanza, outscoring Upper Dauphin 15-8 to win the period that counted, the fourth.

The Tigers got clutch scoring from Alyssa Robinson (7), Cypress Feltman (4), Guyer (3) and Thea Neimond (1) to give their team the cone from behind victory.
