Juniata girls come from behind for OT victory over UD

The Juniata girls basketball team continued its winning ways Tuesday night as they picked up a Tri-Valley League match up overtime victory over Upper Dauphin, 72-60.

Leading the way for the Indians was Olivia Clark with 25 points.

Teammate Chloe Zendt finished with 17 while Mahlin Kint had 13. 

Rounding out the double-digit scorers was Mackenzie Bennett with 12.

Leading the way for Upper Dauphin was Bryanna Cuther with 18 points.

Eileen Nestor had 15 while teammate Lea Lenker had 11.

It was a come from behind victory for Juniata as they trailed going into the second half.

UD took the lead after the first quarter, leading 16-12.

In the second half, the Indians outscored 24-19 to send the game into an extra period.

Juniata Clark paced the way with nine in the period. 

The Indians saved the best for last as they outscored Upper Dauphin 23-11 in the extra stanza to take the victory.
