Juniata girls fend off Warrior Run

The Juniata girls basketball team came out victorious Monday night as they topped Warrior Run 50-46.

Leading the way for the Indians were Marlin Kint and Mackenzie Bennett who both finished with a 13-point effort.

Warrior Run’s leading scorer was Sydney Hoffman who also had 13.

Teammate Jordan Hartman rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10. 

The Indians took the lead after one, posting a 13-9 advantage.

Kint and Bennett had four each to lead the way in the opening period.

Warrior Run put itself back in the game in the second outscoring Juniata 15-10 to lead 24-23 at the intermission.

In the third quarter, Juniata rallied back in to take back the lead outscoring their opponent 16-5 heading into the final stanza.

Despite Warrior Run outscoring the Indians 17-11 in the fourth, Juniata was able to hold onto the the victory.
