Juniata track sweeps Susquenita

It was another solid outing for both the Juniata girls and boys track and field team as they swept Susquenita 93-57 and 85-65, respectively.
In track action, the girls and boys 4×800 relays got win with times of 10:58.19 and 10:02.98.
Juniata also finished in the 4×100 relay with a top time of 53.48.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Ellie Shepps took the top spot with a time of 17.06.
Shepps also took the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.58.
Its was a clean sweep for the Lady Indians in the 100-meter dash as Zoe Burns (13.34), Nylah Pannepaker (13.74) and McKenzi Beward (13.79).
Burns was just as successful in the 200-meter run with a top spot time of 27.91.
In the 800-meter run, Josie Swartz took the top spot with a time of 2:41.96.
Juniata’s Carli Walters took top honors in the 3200-meter run with a time of 13:48.25.
In the long jump, the Indians got a 15’ 06 1/2. Teammates Sydney Sheaffer 15’ 04 1/2” and Olivia Clark 14’ 07” finished in second and third.
On the boys’ side Jeremiah Parson finished first in the 100, posting a time of 11.70.
Parson also got the top nod in the 400 with a time of 53.33.
Parson was successful in the 200, posting a winning time of 23.64.
Garrett Baulblitz captures the top spot in the 1600-and the 800-meter run with times of 14:56.31 and 2:09.27, respectively.
Baulblitz also brought home the crown in the 3200, posting a time of 10:59.1.
Will Tyson took home the top spot in the 300-Meter with a time of 44.33.
Wade Moore took the first place finish in the javelin as he threw for a distance of 130’ 11”.
Chase Lehman rounded out the scoring on the day, winning the pole vault with a finishing leap of 12’ 3”.
