Juniata’s defense helps secure 1-0 win over Hollidaysburg
Defensive battle.
The Juniata girls soccer team found themselves in a defensive struggle of wills Wednesday night as the two played to a very close one-goal contest.
However, it would be the Indians that would come out victorious as they had the goal that counted, winning 1-0.
Juniata picked up its goal early in the contest when Nyla Pannepacker found an opening and sent a shot past the Hollidaysburg goalie. She was set up on the play be Victory Frantz at the 5:25 mark.
The Indians were outshot Hollidaysburg 33-6. But the Indians got the one that mattered.
In corner opportunities, Hollidaysburg held a slim 3-2 advantage.
