The Bald Eagle softball team started the week with a Bang! Defeating a very talented Philipsburg-Osceola team 6-5.

Winning pitcher on the night was ace hurler Maddie Peters who’s lucky number was five as she allowed five runs, five hits and five strikeouts.

Top hitters for Bald Eagle were Mara Hockenberry (2 hits, sacrifice bunt), Marina Shawley(2 hits) Marlee Caldana (2 hits) and Kayleigh Kinley hit her third home run.

PHilipsburg-Osceola were led in the offensive department by Roselyn Weaver(2hits 2-run HR) and Hannah Minarchick(2 hits).

“Another classic game between two good teams. Both Maddie Peters and Cam Harris pitched this hearts out,” said Bald Eagle coach Don Lucas. “We played catch-up for most of the game but my gals never quit.We were able to manufacture a run in the bottom of the 8th.  Maddie Perry play outstanding on defense.”
