Lady Huskies soccer team improves to 2-1 with win over Bearcats
The Mifflin County offense continues to flow as Saturday the Lady Huskies posted four goals en route to the 4-1 win over Huntingdon.
Both teams finished with the same amount of shots but Mifflin County made the most of it.
Mifflin County led in corner opportunities by a 3-1 margin.
Huntingdon opened with the first goal as Sydney Sellers with an assist Greta Staley, put her team up 1-0 at 12:09.
MIfflin County’s Morgan Breon tied things off an assist by Lily Yoder at 31:23.
Aubrey Strohecker gave her team the 1-goal advantage thanks to an assist by Bryn Kanagy at 33:03.
Kate Bickhart gave her team some breathing room scoring at 56:12 via a free kick.
Strohecker put the icing on the cake with a goal at 65:21, securing the Mifflin County victory.
The Huskies’ keeper Bailey McNitt tallied eight saves while Huntingdon’s Mallory Woodward finished with five.
MIfflin County is 1-0 in Mid -Penn action and 2-1 overall.
In JV action, Huntingdon outlasted Mifflin County 1-0.
