Lady Raiders post 20 runs in win over Clearfield

Like a well oiled machine, the Bellefonte offense continues to keep churning out runs and hits at an alarming rate.
Thursday versus Clearfield, the Lady Raiders took their show on the road. But it didn’t stop the bats.
Bellefonte also continues its winning ways, defeating Clearfield 20-9.
Numerous Red Raiders made the multi hit games. They were Mallorie Smith (single/2 triples), Alexis Wetzler (2 singles/2 doubles), Rianna Trexler – (single/double/Home Run), Maddie Tice (3 single/double) and Lexi Rogers (single/2 doubles/1 home run).
Posting round trippers on the night were Rianna Trexler and Lexi Rogers.
Rogers also picked up the victory going the distance allowing nine runs on 11 hits, six strike outs and three walks.
Despite a losing effort, Clearfield got multi hit games from Brooke Cline (2 singles/double), Aspen Bishop (single/home run) and Kate Lansberry( 2 singles/ home run).
Bellefonte took the lead early on, plating two in the first.
However, Clearfield rallied in the bottom of the inning to score four.
Both scored two in the second and one in the third.
But in the fourth, the momentum started to turn back in Bellefonte’s direction as the picked up five runs and then kept Clearfield scoreless.
After both teams added two in the fifth, the Lady Raiders put the game away in the sixth by scoring six.
To add to the insurance runs, Bellefonte officially put the game away in the seventh adding two more, making it a 20-9 final.
