Late Wednesday volleyball results: SC boys fall to Altoona in five sets

Wednesday the State College boys volleyball team lost a nail biter against rival Altoona 3-2 (16-25,25-20,25-13,23-25,19-21).

Strong performers for the Little Lions on the night were Kadin Karaky’s 20 kills. Sam Li added 19 and Carter Weight had 11.

Teammate Derrick Campbell followed with a whopping 48 assists. Campbell added 13 digs. He also finished with seven blocks.

Ben Rogers had the hot hand at the service line posting two aces in the nail biting contest.

The Little Lions also looked strong defensively as Lucas Keiter finished with 20 digs.

In JV action, State College fell 2-1.

The Little Lions opens the home schedule Tuesday against Chambersburg.
