Mifflin County Jr. Babe Ruth All Stars 15 yr old won big over 13-15 All-Stars Schuylkill (Ashland) 15U 11-1 on Wednesday.
13-15 All-Stars Schuylkill (Ashland) 15U got things moving in the first inning. Kevin Jones hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.
Mifflin County Jr. Babe Ruth All Stars 15 yr old pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Deakon Schaeffer drew a walk, scoring one run, Trevor Sheaffer singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Xavier Smith singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, and Tucker Gill singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Mifflin County Jr. Babe Ruth All Stars 15 yr old scored five runs in the fifth inning. Ryan Kanagy, Gill, and Hunter Bailey each had RBIs in the big inning.
Landen Eichhorn was credited with the victory for Mifflin County Jr. Babe Ruth All Stars 15 yr old. The righty surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out five and walking zero.
Mike Quirk was on the mound for 13-15 All-Stars Schuylkill (Ashland) 15U. Quirk surrendered six runs on seven hits over two and a third innings, striking out one. Kolton Joyce threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Gill, Smith, and Sheaffer all had two hits to lead Mifflin County Jr. Babe Ruth All Stars 15 yr old. Mifflin County Jr. Babe Ruth All Stars 15 yr old stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Sheaffer led the way with two.
