Penns Valley girls finish second at BVI

REEDSVILLE – The Penns Valley Girls placed second at BVI.

The Penns Valley girls and Boys Cross Country teams participated at the Big Valley Invitational in Reedsville and continued to add to its legendary program.

With its second place finish, the girls trailed only Juniata Valley in the Class A division.

“It was a good day for our runners, many exceeded expectations this early in the season.  It promises to be an exciting season,” said Penns Valley coach  Lynda Federinko

Individually, Anna Stitzer finished in 1st with a time of 19:12.

Alexis Durn was next with a 4th place nod at  21:01.

Ann-Marie McMurtrie was 17th in 25:42 while Ayva Fetterolf was 19th in 26:10.

Rounding out the Lady Rams was Annie Racette with a time of in 33:19 good enough for a 37th place finish.

With the boys team not running with a full team they weren’t scored as a team.

However, McClain Reamer finished 4th in 18:46.

Simon Smith was right behind with a 5th in 19:02.

Vince Smith was 17th in 21:44

Dilon Reilly rounded things out at 19th in 23:36.
