Red Raiders XC has strong showing at Newville

Bellefonte cross country had a big day in Newville.The Red Raiders had three girls medal and seven boys run under 20:00!

In the girls varsity race Bellefonte placed 6th out of 12.

Picking up medals were Amaya Rothrock 21:54, Mia Elmore 22:10and Amber Shirey 22:16.

Teammates Katie Gearhart and  Haley Herr finished with times of  23:25 and 23:31,respectively.

Meanwhile at the boys varsity race,

the team placed 12th out of 24.

Austin Melius  led the way with a 17:47

Chase Ebeling finished strong with a time of 18:09 while teammate Eric Bennett had an 18:20.

Rounding out the Bellefonte runners were Dillon Sette 19:32,Danny Mussett 19:46, Aaron Carlini 19:47

and Daryel Stickles 19:57.

In Boys JV race, Hunter Lucas paced things with a 21:34.

Rounding out the runners were Aaron Johnson 24:41, Matt Connelly 24:47 and Noah Aberegg 25:10.

The Red Raiders’ next race is a dual meet against Bald Eagle at Bald Eagle on Tuesday, Sept 17th.
