Suquenita drops Lady Tigers in OT

It took an overtime period to decide Wednesday nights East Juniata versus Susquenita girls basketball game.

In the end, it would be Susquenita would come out the victors of a 50-45 extra period contest.

It was quite the comeback attempt by the Tigers as they fell behind early and then rallied back to almost take the contest.

In the first,Susquenita went ahead 15-2 after a sizzling offensive effort.

The Lady Tigers would begin their comeback attempt in the second as they outshot Susquenita 14-5.

When the two teams went into the half, Susquenita led 20-16.

Back roared Susquenita in the third as its offense began to heat up once again 15-9.

But the Lady Tigers refused to go away and made another comeback attempt that would be a successful one that would send the game into overtime. East Juniata posted a 19-9 period.

However in the overtime period, Susquenita had too much fire power outscoring East Juniata to notch the victory.

Leading the offense for East Juniata was Amara Brubaker with 22. Teammate Leah Sanky chipped in with 11.
