The Lady Raiders open week with win over Tyrone

With the showdown with their rival Bald Eagles looming on Thursday, the Bellefonte softball team goes into the contest on a winning note defeating Tyrone 5-1 on the road Monday.

The Lady Raiders used four hits and took advantage of four Golden Eagle errors to take home the victory.

Lexi Rogers (6-1) shined again from the mound for the Red Raiders as she went the complete seven innings, scattering three hits and struck out 15.

Top Hitters on the night for Bellefonte were Lily Gardner (1-2, 2R), Hanna Lauck (2-4, 2B, 2R) and Makenna Port (1-4, RBI).

Bellefonte (6-1) goes to Bald Eagle Area on Thursday (4/22) and hosts Hollidaysburg Friday (4/23).
