Bald Eagle girls soccer stay perfect on the year

The winning streak continues!!

With its 2-1 win over Clearfield Thursday, the Bald Eagle girls soccer team’s record remains unblemished as the season starts to wind down.

 “It was a back and forth game and Clearfield played us hard. They are a great team and well coached. The girls never quit or got discouraged,” said Bald Eagle Area Coach Jared Moore. “They keep playing through it and came out on top. Rachel Veneziano kept us in the game with a couple of great saves at clutch times. Grace Wagner hit Emily Shiels on a perfect cross with 12 seconds left and Em buried it in the back of the net. She was the hero today! She came through when we needed it.”

Bald Eagle led in shots on goal by a 13-7 margin.

 Bald Eagle goalie Rachel Veneziano had six while Clearfield posted 11.

With less than 15 ticks of the clock, Shiels plastered the game winner thanks to a Grace Wagner pass at 79:48, giving the Lady Eagles the victory.

         With the win BEA is 12-0-1 overall and 9-0-1 Mountain League.
