EJ girls fall on road to Susquenita

The East Juniata girls dropped to 2-2 on the year after falling to a tough Susquenita team 61-49 Monday night.

Alyssa Hibbs and Claiyre Guyer led the way for the Tigers with 11 points on the night.

Teammate Thea Neimond just missed a double-digit effort, posting nine. 

Susquenita’s Alayna Boyer led the way for her team posting a game high 24 points.

Playing Monday’s game on the road, started the game being outscored 18-9.

East Juniata got a five-point effort from Hibbs.

They were also outscored in the second quarter, 14-9, falling behind 32-18 at the half.

East Juniata got four from Amara Brubaker.

In the third, East Juniata posted 22 in the third quarter while holding Susquenita to 13, cutting its deficit to 45-40. Putting them within striking distance of the lead.

Leading the comeback attack was Guyer with eight.

In the final stanza, Susquenita got back to its scoring ways, outscoring the Tigers 16-9 en route to the victory.

East Juniata 2-2 (0-2) plays tomorrow @ Line Mtn.
