Juniata girls take care of Newport

It was another easy night for the Juniata girls basketball team as they dominated Newport 47-23.

Leading the way in the victory was Olivia Clark with 14 while teammate Mahlin Kint chipped in 12.

The first quarter proved to be a close one as the Indians barely outscored the Buffaloes 12-9.

Mya Rush has the hot hand in the period netting seven.

 In the second, the Lady Indians defense clamped down and held Newport to just three points while its offense scored eight.

Four Juniata players all chipped in with a bucket apiece to send their team into the intermission with a 20-12 lead.

After halftime, the Indians continued to roll, outscoring the Buffaloes in third quarter as well, 17-7.

Kint led the way with eight while Clark posted six.

As the teams hit the final stanza, the results remained the same as Juniata finished the night winning the fourth as well 10-4.
