Field hockey

Mifflin county 0, Carlisle 0

The Mifflin County field hockey mixed it up with Carlisle Monday, resulting in a 0-0 tie.

Mifflin County goalie Sophie McCurdy had 22 saves.

MC JV lost 3-0.

Muncy 3, East Juniata 1

It was a tough start for the week for the East Juniata field hockey team as it fell to Muncy 3-1.

Posting the Tigers last goal was Kara Goss who hit her goal early in the first.

Girls soccer

East Juniata 1, Line Mountain 0

The East Juniata girls soccer team grinded things out in their Monday match up with Tri-Valley League opponent, Line Mountain by holding onto a 1-0 victory.

Posting the lone goal was Haley Hoffman who posted a second half goal thanks to an assist by Sara Brackbill.

The Tigers goalie Grace Hibbs had 13 saves in the win.

Boys soccer

It was an offensive explosion!

The East Juniata boys soccer team posted a 10-goal contest while their defense refused to give anything to Line Mountain, winning 10-0.

East Juniata notched four in the first and later six in the final stanza en route to victory.

Picking up goals in the contest were  Aden Fronk and Jack Brackbill who both finished with hat tricks.

Adding to the Tigers’ score sheet were Blaise Lauver (2), Joel Kell and Josef Book.

Volleyball

Millersburg 3, Juniata 1

Though the Indians volleyball hard and we’re competitive, it just wasn’t enough on this night to pick up the win against a tough Millersburg team , falling 3-1 (25-12,25-20, 15-25 and 25-23.
