Wise, Shafranich do well at Mid-Penn Championships

Two MIfflin County golfers competed today at the District 6 AAA Golf Championships Scotch Valley Country Club in Hollidaysburg.

Owen Wise finished 7th overall with a score of 89. This was unfortunately not good enough to advance, so his season has now come to an end. The course was very difficult, and the wind made it even tougher. It was a very good showing for Owen, considering the type of weather we had today. He showed his mental toughness, and battled and got a top 7 result.

It was a great season for Owen.

Reagan Shafranich also competed today in the Girls Mid-Penn Championships at Dauphin Highland in Harrisburg, and finished the day with a score of 120. Reagan will now compete tomorrow (10/1) in the District 6 AAA Girls championships at Windber Country Club. Good luck Reagan.
